Dhanbad, Dec 5: The Railway Board has decided to extend the operation of the Dhanbad-Bhubaneswar Special Train until February 28, 2025, to enhance passenger convenience.

Amresh Kumar, Senior Divisional Commerce Manager (Sr DCM) of Dhanbad Rail Division under East Central Railway (ECR), said that due to the positive response from passengers, the train services will continue beyond the previously scheduled dates.
The extension includes Train No. 02831 (Dhanbad-Bhubaneswar Special) and Train No. 02832 (Bhubaneswar-Dhanbad Special).

Earlier, the Dhanbad-Bhubaneswar Special (02831) was scheduled to run until December 31, 2024, and the Bhubaneswar-Dhanbad Special (02832) until December 30, 2024. However, the Railway Board has now extended the operation of Train No. 02831 until February 25, 2025, and Train No. 02832 until February 27, 2025.
Both trains will continue to operate as per their previously scheduled timings and stoppages.

Due to non-interlocking work at Kotshila station under the Adra Rail Division of South Eastern Railway (SER), Train No. 18019/18020 (Jhargram-Dhanbad-Jhargram) has been cancelled for tomorrow, December 6.
