Dhanbad, April 27:  Judicial officials, prosecuting officers, members of the Legal Aid Defence Counsels, lawyers, and civil court staff of the Dhanbad court donated their blood on Saturday in a camp organized by the District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) on court premises.

Each drop of blood is priceless

While inaugurating the camp, Principal District and Session Judge cum DLSA Chairman Ram Sharma said that there is no better social work than donating blood to save the life of people.  “Each moment of life and each drop of blood are priceless. So we must use it,” said the DLSA chairman.

Additional judge cum  DLSA secretary Nitisha Barla said that the DLSA, besides providing free of cost legal assistance to people, also participate in social work, and holding a blood donation camp today is one of the parts of it.

District and Session judge  Kuldeep Maan donated the blood first in the camp, followed by additional judge Nitisha Barla, 1st class judicial magistrate Puja Pandey, additional public prosecutor Samit Prakash, Minal Prakash, and others. Officials said 26 units of blood were collected in the camp.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Arti Mala, Additional Judge Anjenila John, Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate Poonam Kumari, and Registrar Abhinav Tripathi were also present.

Dr BK Pandey of Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH), blood bank in-charge Ashok Sharma, Sanjiv Kumar, Raju Mahto, Shambhu Sahni, Vishnupad Kumbhkar, technicians Prarthna Gupta, Priyanka Kumari, and Prerna conducted the camp.
