Jharkhand News: District Election Officer inspects EVM warehouse in Dhanbad

Dhanbad, June 25: District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Dhanbad, Aditya Ranjan, conducted a routine inspection of the EVM warehouse located at Kohinoor Ground on Wednesday.

Representatives from national and regional political parties accompanied him during the visit.

The inspection covered the security seals of the EVMs and VVPATs (Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail), the functioning of CCTV cameras, fire safety arrangements, and the overall security of the warehouse premises.

The Deputy Commissioner issued necessary instructions to ensure foolproof safety and maintenance of the facility.

“This was a routine inspection, conducted every three months in the presence of representatives from all political parties. The arrangements were found to be satisfactory,” said DC Aditya Ranjan after the inspection.

Among those present during the inspection were Deputy Election Officer Kalidas Munda, Sonu Dubey (Indian National Congress), Narendra Trivedi (Bharatiya Janata Party), Rati Lal Mahto (AJSU), Arvind Kumar (Aam Aadmi Party), Abhay Kumar (Bahujan Samaj Party), and Sagfar Kumar Bhajohari from the Election Office.
