Jharkhand News: DPS Ranchi celebrates Teachers’ Day with grandeur

Ranchi, September 5: Delhi Public School Ranchi was abuzz as the teachers of the Primary and Secondary Wing came together to celebrate Teachers’ Day.

The day, which marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the former President of India and a renowned educator, was commemorated with a series of events and activities.

The presence of teachers in their traditional finery marked the celebration. The occasion was presided over by Principal, Dr. R.K.Jha.

The celebration started with lighting the lamp and paying homage to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a philosopher and a great teacher known for his contribution to the Education System of India.

On this occasion, the teachers put up performances, showcasing their gratitude and admiration for their profession. The cultural programme featured games, dance performances and musical renditions.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr R.K. Jha, Principal, DPS Ranchi, said, “Teachers nourish and prepare students for their future as they are the real icons of knowledge and wisdom. They create awareness among the students and common people. Our teachers are the true pillars of our success. A teacher’s determination and sincerity shape the destiny of the nation.”

He conveyed his regard for the task which each teacher selflessly does to carve the crude stone into a structure of magnificence. He also encouraged the teachers to continue to do good work and keep their noble profession above everything else. He reiterated the school’s commitment to providing a holistic and enriching education experience.

The Teachers’ Day celebration at Delhi Public School Ranchi was indeed a testament to the profound impact teachers have on the lives of students.
