Ranchi, July 4: Delhi Public School, Ranchi, conducted the Investiture Ceremony for Class 5 on Friday. The event marked a significant beginning in the leadership journey of the young DPSites as they donned the mantle of responsibility for the session 2025-’26.
The ceremony began with a musical performance and a devotional dance presentation on a Saraswati Vandana by the students, followed by a welcome address by the Principal, Dr. Jaya Chauhan.

The event was graced by Anoop Birtharay (IG, STF Jharkhand) as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he emphasised the importance of integrity, dedication and discipline in leadership. The Guest of Honour, Anjaneyulu Dodde (Secretary, Revenue and Land Reforms, Jharkhand) in his address remarked, ” A sense of responsibility and service towards others must be cultivated at an early age.”

The newly elected Head Boy and Head Girl, House Captains and other Council Members were adorned with sashes and badges, symbolizing their new roles. The oath-taking ceremony was the moment of pride, as the newly appointed leaders pledged to uphold the value of the school and carry out their duties with sincerity and commitment.
Speaking on the occasion, DPS Ranchi Principal, Dr. Jaya Chauhan, encouraged the Student Council to lead by example and to always be fair, responsible and humble in their conduct. The event wrapped up with a vote of thanks by the newly appointed Head Boy Aarav Gupta and the Head Girl Avni Choubey.

The event finally concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.
