Ranchi, Dec 23: Delhi Public School Ranchi celebrated a vibrant Alumni Meet (Batch 1999) that brought together former students, retired teachers and the current school community for a day filled with nostalgia, camaraderie and memorable interactions.
The program commenced with a Welcome Song, setting the tone for the day’s events. This was followed by a Welcome Note, greeting the alumni and retired faculty members.
Principal Dr. R.K. Jha delivered an address, emphasizing the pivotal role of alumni in the school’s legacy and future growth. “Our alumni are the pride of DPS Ranchi, and their achievements inspire our students to aim higher,” he said.

Presentation of mementoes and Thanksgiving Session
One of the event’s highlights was the presentation of mementoes to retired teachers by Dr. R.K. Jha, as a gesture of gratitude for their years of dedicated service. The moment was met with emotional responses from both the teachers and alumni.
The alumni shared their memories in the Thanksgiving Session, reminiscing about their school days and engaging in lively conversations with their former teachers. Their anecdotes brought laughter and tears, creating an atmosphere brimming with nostalgia. They also appeared for the Monday Test to remember their academic life in school. A dance performance by current students added a cultural touch to the event.
Interaction and felicitation
The session featured an engaging interaction between alumni and students during a panel discussion. Alumni shared their professional experiences and offered guidance to the students, leaving them inspired and motivated.
In the Felicitation Ceremony, distinguished alumni were honoured for their achievements and contributions to society, reaffirming their connection to their alma mater.
Dr. R.K. Jha, Principal, DPS Ranchi in his concluding remarks, expressed his gratitude to all attendees and reiterated the importance of such gatherings in fostering lifelong bonds. The alumni left the campus with a sense of pride, cherishing the day as another milestone in their association with DPS Ranchi.
