Ranchi, Dec 10: Dr. Jitendra Kumar and Dr. Shubham Bhaskar have been unanimously elected as President and General Secretary, respectively, of the new committee of the Junior Doctors’ Association (JDA) at RIMS Ranchi for the 2025–27 term.
The outgoing committee, after a marathon meeting and thorough consultation, announced the 37-member new committee today.
Newly elected President Dr. Jitendra Kumar, when contacted on Wednesday evening, acknowledged that the new JDA team faces several pressing issues, including security and other professional concerns. The team is set to assume full charge this month and will outline its priorities starting next month.
The JDA at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Ranchi, has earned national recognition, having played a key role in securing justice for the family of RG Kar Medical College, Kolkata.
The association’s dedication has been widely praised, including by the national body of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), for raising voices against injustice despite potential risks to their careers.
