East Singhbhum police to hold public grievances solution program in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Sept 18: In a bid to have better coordination between people and police, the East Singhbhum district police is going to organise ‘Jan Shikayat Samadhan’ program shortly.

The program will be held at Michael John Auditorium in Bistupur on September 20 where the aggrieved people can approach the police directly to get their problem resolved.

Briefing the newsmen about the program, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishore Kaushal said that the police department has issued a mobile number 9471167577 and an email ID “Janshikshakjsr@gmail.com” for approaching the police.

“On approaching the police through the mobile number or through the email ID, the person in distress will be acknowledged immediately. Not only this, the victim will also be intimated once his or her grievance is resolved, ” said Kaushal while talking to the newsmen.

The senior police officer pointed out they have started the program since September 4, 2024 during which they have received 16 complaints.

“One of the complaints was related to cyber crime. We have registered a case with the relevant police station in this regard,” said Kaushal.

The senior SP said that the Jan Shikayat Samadhan program which is scheduled to begin from 10 am on Friday is open for anyone, including the ones from the rural areas of the district.

To make the program a great success, the senior police officer has appealed to the people to feel free to turn up in great numbers to get relief from the ordeals with the help and assistance of the district police.
