Dhanbad, Sept 12: The East Central Railway Mazdoor Union (ECRMU) has declared its support for the East Central Railway Karmchari Union (ECRKU) in the upcoming railway union recognition election.

The election, scheduled for December 4-5, will determine the recognised union in the East Central Railway (ECR) zone.

ECRMU, a prominent railway employees’ body in the zone, has announced that it will not participate in the election but will extend unconditional support to the ECRKU, as stated by ECRMU general secretary BK Singh.

ECRKU has previously won recognition in 2007 and 2013.
