Hazaribag, January 16: A team of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today raided the residence of a well-known coal businessman Izhar Ansari in the Pelawal Mohalla of Hazaribag town and finally arrested him in the evening.

At around 6:30 in the morning, the ED team knocked at his house. During this, the CRPF personnel took the entire house under their security. It is said that this is a raid related to coal linkage.

Izhar Ansari is accused of collecting coal from coal companies at concessional rates in the name of fake companies and selling it in the open market. His name also surfaced in the Pooja Singhal case.

Even before this, the ED had raided his house and also summoned him to the Ranchi office.
