Dhanbad, Jan 30: The “Platinum Jubilee Lecture Series” commenced today at BIT Sindri, focusing on the theme “Mastering GATE and ESE – Career Path, Exam Strategies, and Growth.” The event aimed to provide students with essential insights into competitive exams and career opportunities in engineering.
Eminent Speakers Share Insights on GATE and ESE
The lecture series, organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, featured Shishir Parsai, a senior faculty member, and Seemant Srivastava, a technical advisor at Made Easy, as the chief speakers.
Addressing the gathering, Shishir Parsai provided an in-depth analysis of the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) and Engineering Services Examination (ESE). He explained exam patterns, preparation strategies, the selection process, and career prospects in government organizations and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
Encouraging students, he emphasized how these exams open doors to prestigious careers and shared his personal interview experiences. He also discussed the increasing competition in various state-level and national-level exams.

Event Conducted Under the Guidance of BIT Sindri Leadership
The program was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Brahmadev Yadav, the GATE and ESE professor in charge, and Dr. Jitu Kujur, Head of the Civil Engineering Department, with overall guidance from BIT Sindri Director Dr. Pankaj Rai.
At the beginning of the event, Dr. Jitu Kujur welcomed the guest experts and highlighted the significance of the session, emphasizing BIT Sindri’s legacy and the achievements of its alumni. Dr. Brahmadev Yadav stressed the importance of GATE and ESE in shaping students’ careers and advised them to prepare diligently for success.
Encouragement for Students
Prof. Prashant Ranjan Malviya, Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Department, proposed the vote of thanks, expressing optimism that the session would help students improve their performance in upcoming exams.
A large number of undergraduate and postgraduate students from various departments actively participated in the program.
