Jharkhand News: Fake Facebook ID of Jamshedpur DC emerges, administration issues alert

Jamshedpur, April 3: Residents of Jamshedpur have been urged to exercise caution as reports confirm the emergence of a fake Facebook ID impersonating the District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Jamshedpur, Ananya Mittal.

The imposter account, purportedly created in the name of DC East Singhbhum, has raised concerns among authorities and citizens alike.

The fraudulent account, bearing the name of Jamshedpur DC, has been sending friend requests and messages to unsuspecting individuals within the district.

In response, authorities have issued a stern warning to the public, advising them to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity originating from this counterfeit profile.

DC directs Cyber Cell to probe the issue

Ananya Mittal, the District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner, has taken swift action, directing the Cyber Cell to launch a thorough investigation into the matter.
