Daltonganj, March 30: A highly venomous snake green pit viper measuring around 3 feet was rescued and released in the jungles of the tiger reserve Palamu today by the forester in-charge Paramjeet Tiwary and his team.
The deadly poisonous snake had sneaked into the tea cum snack shop of a lady Jyoti Toppo at Sugga Bandh.
Awareness about ‘no harm to snakes’
The snake was not harmed by the locals, nor did it harm anyone. This is because the forester in-charge and his team have raised awareness among the villagers about ‘no harm to snakes’.

Sources said had it been old days practice this green pit viper would have been killed.
The lady Jyoti Toppo called in the PTR personnel to rescue this snake safely.
Forester in charge Tiwary said the snake is very aggressive and dangerous if it is not rescued or handled properly.
