Four bereaved families of poll personnel get ex-gratia relief in Daltonganj

Daltonganj, August 13: Four bereaved families who lost their men on duty in the Lok sabha election 2024 got demand draft worth Rs 15 lakh each as ex gratia relief in Daltonganj today.

The four deceased men on poll duties included two para teachers, a home guard jawan and a police constable.

Palamu DC Shashi Ranjan gave away demand drafts worth Rs 15 lakh each to three bereaved families.

DC Shashi Ranjan again took time off and  gave Rs 15 lakh worth demand draft to one bereaved family which came too late to collect this ex gratia relief today.

This is the first such disbursement when ex gratia relief to family of the deceased who died on duty during election has come so soon, so fast and so prompt as past episodes of disbursement of ex gratia relief has seen months and years elapse between the occurrence of death in the poll duty and disbursement of ex gratia relief.
