Ranchi, Nov 14: The Health Department felicitated Ranchi Sadar Hospital laparoscopic surgeon Dr. Ajit Kumar for his outstanding service as a State Master Trainer in strengthening family planning services at IPH Namkum.

Dr. Pushpa, State Nodal Officer of Health Services, Jharkhand, felicitated Dr. Ajit Kumar and said his expertise and commitment in conducting high-quality training on laparoscopic female sterilization have played a major role in improving access to quality and comprehensive family planning services.

Minister, senior officials attend felicitation event

Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari was the chief guest at the programme. Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Health, Ajay Kumar Singh, and other senior officers were also present.

“The Department of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare, under the aegis of the National Health Mission (NHM), Jharkhand government, proudly acknowledges your invaluable efforts towards advancing reproductive health and empowering communities through informed family planning choices,” said Dr. Pushpa during the ceremony.

Noted surgeon with several rare procedures to his credit

Dr. Ajit Kumar is a well-known laparoscopic surgeon at Ranchi Sadar Hospital. In the past four years, he has performed several rare laparoscopic surgeries in the hospital, making significant contributions to women’s health services in Jharkhand.
