Jamshedpur, Oct 4: South Eastern Railway has loaded 104.62 million tonnes of originating freight in the April-September of the current financial year 2024-25, which is 2.84 % higher than the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
Officials said there has also been an increase of 6.93 % in originating freight revenue in April-September, 2024 in comparison to the same period of last financial year.
During April-September 2024, the revenue generation from originating freight loading has been Rs 9572.01 crore as against Rs. 8955.44 crore during the same period of the previous year.

SER has loaded 27.16 million tonnes of coal during April-September, 2024 which is 8.08% more than the corresponding month of last fiscal.
The railway zone has also loaded 53.10 million tonnes of iron ore during this period, which is 2.45 % more than the corresponding months of the last fiscal.
Other major commodities of freight loading were pig iron and finished steel, cement, food grains, fertilizers etc.
