Dhanbad, Nov 20: Inspector General (IG) of Bokaro Range Sunil Bhaskar on Thursday reviewed the law-and-order situation in the coal belt and directed the Dhanbad police to take strong steps to control property-related crimes.
Speaking to the media after the review meeting, the IG said that Dhanbad Police has shown excellent performance in the past few months in controlling crime and maintaining law and order.
However, he stressed the need for stronger action against property crimes.
He instructed all police station officers to:

Impose the Crime Control Act (CCA) on history-sheeters
Keep strict surveillance on criminals released from jail
The review meeting was attended by SSP Prabhat Kumar, SP (Rural) Kapil Choudhary, SP (City) Ritvik Srivastava, all DSPs, and other senior officials.
During the meeting, the IG also directed:
Immediate disposal of pending cases
Strong action against active organised crime gangs
Increased police patrolling in sensitive areas
Close monitoring of patrolling teams and their activities
