Jamshedpur, Sept 25: As part of the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0, the Jugsalai Municipal Council launched a series of cleanliness and health initiatives.
The campaign, which runs from 17th September to 2nd October 2024, focuses on this year’s theme, “Swabhaav Swachhata- Sanskar Swachhata.” The campaign highlights four key areas: Swachhata Participation, Total Sanitation, Safai Mitra Suraksha Camp, and the grand culmination of Swachh Bharat Diwas on 2nd October.
On Tuesday, a cleanliness drive was carried out across public and community toilets, urinals, and other sanitation facilities within the Jugsalai Municipal Council area.

Simultaneously, a Safai Mitra Suraksha Camp was held at Purani Basti Seva Nagar Ward No. 3, where a health check-up camp was organized for sanitation workers and local residents, including children, women, men, and the elderly.
Dr. Ranveer Pathak, Dr. Sahib, Dr. Rajesh, and medical professionals like Shilpa Pandey and Sangeeta conducted the health check-up, ensuring the well-being of all participants.
The event was graced by Executive Officer Sandeep Paswan, City Manager Rajendra Kumar, and other key officials, including Junior Engineer Tanuj Jain, Sanitation Expert Amrita Sakshi, and cleaning supervisors. Their presence demonstrated the municipal council’s commitment to the success of Swachhata Hi Seva 2024, making sanitation and public health a community priority.
