Jamshedpur, April 29: A spirited vote campaign echoed through the halls of Mango-based Kids International School as Nirmala Kumari Bareliya, Regional Joint Director of School Education, Kolhan Division, Jamshedpur, spearheaded an initiative to promote voting awareness among students, teachers and parents.

Under the leadership of the school’s principal, Rukhsar Ayesha, the entire school community enthusiastically participated in the campaign, which aimed to underscore the significance of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled for May 25, 2024.

My Vote, My Right

Nirmala Kumari emphasized the fundamental role of each citizen’s vote in shaping the democratic fabric of the nation, rallying the crowd with the slogan “Mera Vote Mera Haq” (My Vote, My Right).

Addressing the gathering, she elucidated the essence of democracy and the pivotal role of voting in ensuring representation and governance. She exhorted everyone present to exercise their franchise conscientiously, while also pledging to spread awareness and inspire others to do the same.

In light of the soaring temperatures prevailing in the city, Nirmala Kumari stressed the importance of ensuring the well-being of students by ringing bells at regular intervals for hydration breaks and providing energy drinks or educating them on sun safety measures.

Emphasis on civic responsibility through enthusiastic vote campaign

The vote campaign witnessed active participation from all members of the Kids International School community, with staff and parents alike displaying their commitment to democratic participation through vibrant banners and enthusiastic engagement.

In a concluding remark, the school’s director, Syed Rashid Zafar, affirmed his dedication to casting his vote and vowed to mobilize the entire school staff and parents to exercise their democratic rights.

As the nation gears up for the electoral process, initiatives like the vote campaign at Kids International School underscore the vital role of educational institutions in fostering civic awareness and engagement among future generations.
