Dhanbad, March 20: ‘Light Sindri’, an NGO run by students, on Wednesday held pre- Holi festival at Hindu Mission Orphanage Dhanbad and celebrated it with orphans in grand fashion.

The members of ‘Light Sindri’, under the joint leadership of coordinators Satyam Kumar and Shruti Roy, celebrated the colours festival and gave the children of the orphanage sweets, Pichkari, colours, caps, and other eatable items for the upcoming celebration of Holi.

Musical chairs
On the occasion, Light Sindri activists also organized games like musical chairs, a singing competition, and other events to rejoice in the occasion. It gave the festival a playful competition, and children enthusiastically participated in it.
“We also made the children aware of the true meaning of Holi, which is a festival of love, harmony, and community,” said the activist.
“Our mission of celebrating the pre-Holi festival with them was to make every child feel special and spread smiles and happiness on everyone’s face, and we succeeded in it,” said a Light Sindri activist.
