Jamshedpur: Loyola School’s senior section kicked off the new academic session with a vibrant and culturally rich assembly, aimed at fostering unity, diversity and setting academic goals for the students.

The assembly, themed around the concept of cultural diversity and unity, commenced with a symbolic lighting of the lamp by all the Fathers and Vice-Principals, symbolizing the auspicious beginning of the academic year.

Dance, group song, Gurbani, Sarna prayer

A dance performance paying tribute to Lord Ganesha set the tone for the event, symbolizing auspicious beginnings and blessings.

Continuing on the path of enrichment, students led a Buddhist meditative session, promoting inner peace and mindfulness.

The assembly also featured a melodious group song, a Bengali Christian song, and a beautiful fusion of language and faith, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of the school community. Gurubani recitation further added spiritual depth to the proceedings.

In a poignant moment, a student recited the renowned speech of Swamy Vivekananda, inspiring fellow students with messages of courage and determination.

The assembly also included the Sarna prayer, emphasizing the importance of connecting with nature and working towards a sustainable future, followed by an Islamic prayer and a Vandana in honour of Goddess Saraswati.

Highlighting the importance of embracing individuality with courage, a mesmerizing presentation of Tagore’s “Ekla Cholo Re” captivated the audience, reminding them of the strength found in staying true to oneself.

School leaders inspire students to pursue goals and embrace cultural diversity

Father Vinod K.M. Joseph, Rector of Loyola School, shared valuable insights with the students, urging them to prioritize their goals and work diligently towards achieving them.

Father Vinod Fernandes, Principal of Loyola School, emphasized the significance of respecting cultural differences and fostering mutual understanding.

The assembly concluded with a sense of renewed optimism and enthusiasm for the academic year ahead, reflecting Loyola School’s commitment to promoting cultural diversity and nurturing students’ talents.
