Speaking at the event, Saryu Roy said, “Yoga is India’s ancient gift to the world. It connects the body, mind, intellect, and soul. This year’s theme, ‘One Earth, One Health, and Yoga’, underlines the need for global unity in health and well-being.” He also highlighted the contributions of Maharishi Patanjali and Guru Gorakhnath in shaping the practice of yoga into a systematic discipline.
“Yoga is not only about physical fitness but also brings awareness about our lifestyle – what we eat, how we eat, and what we should avoid,” he added.
Other dignitaries present included Krida Bharti Vice President Shivshankar Singh, State Minister Rajiv Kumar, and Janata Dal (United) East Singhbhum District President Subodh Srivastava. The event saw participation from people of all age groups and concluded with a call to adopt yoga as a daily practice for a healthier life.
