Addressing a vibrant gathering along the picturesque coastline of Visakhapatnam on the 11th International Day of Yoga, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the need to elevate yoga from a personal discipline to a global mission for unity, health, and peace.

Calling on nations to adopt ‘inner peace as a global policy’, he envisioned yoga as a shared responsibility for the well-being of humanity and the planet.

“Let yoga become a collective global movement—a force that binds the world in harmony and wellness,” the Prime Minister declared. He invited every nation to embrace yoga not merely as a cultural heritage but as a unifying practice that connects individuals, societies, and nations. “Let us make Yoga for One Earth, One Health a common global resolution,” he urged.

With Indian Navy ships stationed near the shoreline, the event was marked by grandeur and symbolism, drawing lakhs of yoga enthusiasts, dignitaries, and locals.

PM Modi highlighted yoga’s transformative potential—not only as a tool for personal well-being but as a means to foster compassion for the environment and community. “Yoga takes us from ‘Me’ to ‘We’. It reminds us that we are not separate from nature, but deeply connected to it and to each other,” he said.
