Daltonganj, May 16: The Medininagar Municipal Corporation (MMC) team, early Friday morning, seized four motor pumps stealing water from the main supply pipe in the vicinity of ward number 21.
City Manager Samita Bhagat said, “These four motor pumps have been seized and the households from where these motor pumps were retrieved would be served notices of a penalty of 10,000 rupees each for the four motor pumps.”

Water for household use is surreptitiously stolen with the motor pumps, which causes immense distress and woes to households lying behind the household stealing water.
The theft of water by motor pumps is a major offence against society. Winter months see fewer episodes of such stealing of water.
