Dhanbad, April 3: A neighbouring youth of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) employee allegedly strangulated her 11-year-old son for Rs 90,000 in the Alkusha area under Kenduadih police station, around 10 km away from the district headquarters.

The deceased boy, identified as Prince Kumar, son of Guddi Devi, had been missing since Wednesday afternoon. Police recovered the body packed in a plastic sack in a bush near her house. Prince Kumar’s hands and legs were tied.

Though a police official said both the accused are being interrogated for the reason behind the heinous murder, family members said that Rohit Kumar Gupta had taken Rs 90 000 from the daughter of Guddi Devi to invest in a private financial company three years ago.

For some time, Guddi’s family members had been mounting pressure on Rohit to get the money returned.
