Jamshedpur, April 22: On the occasion of World Earth Day today, the agriculture department of Netaji Subhash University in Pokhari organized an awareness program aimed at promoting environmental consciousness among students and faculty members.

The event featured a poster presentation where students displayed creative posters on themes related to Earth, nature, and environmental protection. A short video clip highlighting the significance of World Earth Day was also showcased during the program.

During the speech session, Dr. Pramod Kumar Singh, Dean of Science, and Dr. Vijay Kant Pandey, Head of the Agriculture Department, addressed the gathering. They emphasized the urgent need for Earth conservation and urged everyone to remain aware and take responsibility for protecting nature.

A major highlight of the program was a tree plantation drive, where faculty members and students from the agriculture and science departments came together to plant saplings across the university campus. The participants pledged to continue working towards environmental sustainability.
