Jamshedpur, July 15: Students of Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES), Bistupur, have brought laurels to the city by emerging as the winners in the prestigious Frank Anthony Memorial All India Inter School Debate Competition.

The NHES team, comprising Arushi Kar and Deeplekha Mandal, was declared the winning team in the Senior Category of the national-level event, which was organised by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations.

The competition was held on July 14, 2025, and witnessed participation from some of the finest debating talents across the country.

Adding to the school’s pride, Arushi Kar was adjudged Best Speaker in the senior category for her remarkable oratory and incisive arguments.

“We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievement,” said Paramita Roy Chaudhury, Principal of Narbheram Hansraj English School, adding, “This win is a reflection of their hard work, dedication, and passion for debating. We congratulate them on this outstanding accomplishment and look forward to seeing their continued growth and success.” She also extended her appreciation to the teachers who guided and mentored the team.

The Frank Anthony Memorial Debate has long been regarded as one of India’s most esteemed platforms for school-level debate, encouraging students to engage in intellectual discussions, challenge conventional perspectives, and hone critical thinking and public speaking skills.
