The NIA’s operation was connected to a case involving the arrest of three overground workers (OGWs) who were acting as couriers for Naxal cadres.
The anti-terror agency stated that the NIA launched an operation against other OGWs and suspects in the district after the trio was arrested in July 2022 from Bera Kenduda School in the West Singhbhum district. They were also found to have an incriminating letter.
The NIA continues its investigation into the case, which it took over in August of the previous year.
