Dhanbad, September 9: The Jharkhand State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation has raised concerns about the delay in implementing the health insurance scheme for employees and pensioners, urging Chief Minister Hemant Soren to address the issue.
In a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister, Federation General Secretary Ashok Singh ‘Nayan’ highlighted that while the health insurance scheme has been finalized, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the insurance company remains unsigned. This delay has left 1.70 lakh employees and pensioners without the health insurance benefits.

“File of the health insurance scheme has been pending for more than a month, but the MoU with the insurance company has not been signed. This has caused disappointment among employees and pensioners, as they are not receiving the benefits. So, the Federation requests you (Chief Minister) to take cognizance of the delay in the MoU and implement the scheme,” Ashok Kumar Singh ‘Nayan’ stated in his memorandum.
Singh expressed frustration that despite employees staging protests and demonstrations in Ranchi to push for the scheme’s implementation, the government has not acted.
“If further delay occurs, employees and pensioners will jointly be compelled to assemble in Ranchi for a massive agitation,” he warned.
