Daltonganj, August 14: An illicit mini gun factory was unearthed at Kemo Pratappur under the Hussainabad subdivision on Tuesday.
The busting of the illicit mini gun factory was done by a joint team of Hussainabad and Haidernagar police stations led by the SDPO Hussainabad Mukesh Kumar Mahto who has earned a reputation for giving serious dents to the Naxal outfits.
SP Reeshma Ramesan’s monitoring of the inputs and its subsequent follow-up action has been quite a flawless one barring one or two episodes where police had to wish it ought to have been more smarter, swifter and faster.
The illicit factory was run by associate of late Naxal
The illicit mini gun factory was running in a makeshift manner and the man behind it was Parsidh Parhaiyya, 56, said to be in association with dreaded Naxal Ajay Yadav (killed long ago) and through him Nitesh Yadav the present face of dangerous Maoist.

Parhaiyya has been arrested along with Doulat Yadav and the two were remanded in judicial custody today. Both have been booked under the Arms Act and 17 CLA Act.
Reeshma Ramesan said Parhaiyya boasted of his being in jail twice which she said is to be verified for his truthfulness.
Parhaiyya has five cases against him: SP
According to SP Reeshma Ramesan, Parhaiyya has five cases against him including two cases each in 2005 and 2007 and one case in 2008.
The illicit mini gun factory was in fact on a piece of land of Munarik Vishwakarma who managed to give a slip to the police.
Reeshma Ramesan admitted “It was a mini-gun factory, true, but not to that proportion of manufacturing illicit weapons in any number at all. Police found one desi katta only and not any more weapons ready to be used. There was found just one live cartridge.”

It was a slow starter with lots of tools around, numbering 23 in all which included variety of things like hammer, wooden mini lethe machine, file, screw, saw blade, semi-manufactured butt and barrel, pencil batteries, plastic torch, mini iron furnace, 18 pieces of splinters etc.
Police sources said this unearthing of the illicit mini gun factory is the first one in the past three years or so in Palamu.
