Ranchi, July 24: City-based social outfit Pankhuri in association with CMPDI, organised a day-long workshop at Gauri Dutt High school, Ratu Road, today.
This workshop was organised for underprivileged girls and boys of std 9 and 10 under the organisation’s scheme – Skill Development Programme- Hunar Apke Dwar.
This scheme is for one year, which entails designing handmade paper bags at nominal cost.

In the workshop, Chief Guest of the occasion was CMD of CMPDI Manoj Kumar who appreciated the organisation’s initiatives to support such students who are unable to complete their education and later they can support their families financially when required.
This workshop started with distribution of handmade papers, fevicol, colourful satin ribbons.
Chairperson Arti Sahuliyar and treasurer Hazel Davis guided students to design paper bags.
In this one-hour workshop, all students skillfully designed paper bags and displayed them in the classroom. In the coming days, this workshop will be conducted in other such schools and slum areas.
