Daltonganj, January 17: The Rajkiya Para Medical Sansthaan running in the building and premise of the Medinirai Medical College and Hospital (MMCH) at Pokhraha in Daltonganj has started a paramedical course.
The course is of two years, said the principal of the MMCH, Dr Kamender Prasad.
The intake capacity of Rajkiya Para Medical Sansthaan in MMC Pokhraha is of 49 students against which 29 students have taken admission in the first session.
Thus 20 seats remained vacant in the very first year of the para medical teaching here in this medical college.
The last date for applying for para medical courses was December 9. The para medical course began in this medical college on December 24.

Out of the 29 admitted students, the number of girls is 13. Most of the girls are local while boys are from other districts like Giridih, Hazaribagh etc.
The fee structure is very affordable. For general and OBC boys it is 8520 rupees for two years while for the SC/ ST boys it is 6520 rupees for two years.
Similarly, for general and OBC girls it is 7320 rupees for two years while for SC/ ST girls it is 5320 rupees only.
The para medical courses are for Ophthalmic Asstt, Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology OT Asstt, Anesthesia Asstt and x-ray and radiology Asstt.
