Dhanbad, June 27: All India Railway Federation (AIRF) general secretary Shiv Gopal Mishra today said that railway employees would not rest untill the central government implements the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).

General secretary Mishra, who was on Thursday addressing the 33rd Central Council convention of East Central Railway Karmchari Union (ECRKU) in Dhanbad Railway Auditorium said agitation would continue for OPS,  formation of 8th Pay Commission and other old demands of employees.

“If Central government fails to take positive steps on OPS, 8th Pay Commission and other demands as soon as possible, Federation is geared up to fight to finish”, said the AIRF  general secretary. He further added that agitation of railway employees would continue at any cost till demands are accepted.

Delegates of Central Council meeting

AIRF leader on the occasion pointed out problems being faced by railway employees and demands the Federation has put up before the central government.

Earlier Mishra was accorded warm welcome at Dhanbad Railway station after he reached here by Rajdhani Express from Delhi. ECRKU leaders received him.

ECRKU president DK Pandey presided over the meeting. General secretary SNP Srivastava welcomed the guest while additional general secretary Md Ziauddin and assistant general secretary Omprakash conducted the function.

AIRF zonal secretary OP Sharma, assistant organizing secretary Somen Dutta, Netajee Subhjash, branch secretary Sunil Kumar Singh,  RN Choudhary, IM Singh, BK Saw, Basant Dubey, NK Khawas, RK Singh, PK Sinha, AK Tiwari, BB Singh, Chandan Shukla, JK Saw, Mahendra Prasad Mahto, AK Vishwakarma, Vishwajit, Rajiv Kumar, Shiwaji and others were present.
