Jharkhand News: Rotary Club’s RYLA 2024 residential camp set to empower youth

Jamshedpur, Oct 24: The Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West, in collaboration with all Rotary Clubs of District 3250, has announced the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) 2024, a transformative three-day residential camp titled “Pankh” (Wings).

The camp, designed to foster leadership, compassion, and collaboration among youth, will take place from October 25 to 27, 2024 at Kerala Public School, Kadma.

This year’s RYLA 2024 is themed “Leadership Through Compassion, Collaboration, and Celebration.” It will provide students and young individuals, including Interactors, with an unparalleled platform to develop leadership skills, engage in community service, and participate in motivational sessions. The event is aimed at nurturing future leaders who can make a positive impact in their communities.

The camp will kick off with registrations and an inauguration ceremony, featuring an address by PDG Pratim Banerjee and a keynote speech by Saurav Roy, Head of Tata Steel Foundation.

This will be followed by an ice-breaking session by Anjani Nidhi, and workshops on leadership and communication dynamics. The evening will conclude with a DJ night featuring DJ Jenny from Kolkata, adding a fun element to the day.

Day 2 (October 26, 2024)

The second day promises a range of enriching activities, beginning with a soul-nurturing session and a discussion titled “Life’s Balance Sheet” by Dr. Amit Mukherjee.

Leadership talks by PDG Ajoy Chhabra and team-building exercises will take center stage, with participants visiting a nearby village for Shramdaan (service). The day will end with a cultural performance competition, creating a sense of family and camaraderie.

Day 3 (October 27, 2024)

The final day will focus on celebrating the participants’ leadership journey, with certificates distributed during a valedictory session attended by District Governor Bipin Chachan and First Lady  Shilpi Chachan.

Their presence will further inspire the participants, as the camp wraps up with reflections from District Chair RYLA Anjani Nidhi and Host Club President Dr. Amit Mukherjee.

The Rotary Club, along with Kerala Public School, has meticulously planned this residential camp to focus on personal development, leadership, and community engagement. RYLA 2024 aims to empower participants to become future leaders who are compassionate, collaborative, and ready to make a difference in their communities.
