Jamshedpur, June 12: In a tribute to the martyrdom day of Guru Arjun Dev Ji Maharaj, a Chhabil was organised by Jitendra Singh Rinku of Guru Kripa Roadways, along with the family of Kuldeep Kaur.
The event took place near Big Bazaar on the highway, offering a moment of respite for passersby amidst the scorching heat.
The Chhabil, a traditional Sikh practice of distributing cold sweet water and gram, was set up to honour the memory of the fifth Sikh Guru, who is remembered for his sacrifice and teachings.
This gesture of service and community support drew a significant crowd, highlighting the spirit of generosity and remembrance.

Prominent figures graced the occasion, including former MLA Kunal Sarangi, Central Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) President Sardar Bhagwan Singh, General Secretary Amarjit Singh, and Aagaaz Founder President Inderjit Singh.
Leaders from local youth organizations also showed their support, with Sarjamda Naujavan Sabha President Jagpreet Singh and Santkutiya Naujavan Sabha’s Malvinder Singh among those present. Additionally, CGPC’s Arjun Walia, Sukhwinder Singh Raju, and Kulwinder Singh Pannu actively participated in the service of the Chhabil.
The event was further supported by community members Monty Mandal, Ravi Tiwari, Shubham, Aman, Gopal Sharma, and Saurav, who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the distribution. Their dedication underscored the community’s unity and commitment to honouring Guru Arjun Dev Ji Maharaj’s legacy.
