Arrangements to accommodate over 25,000 people
Speaking at a news meet here today, Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh founder and former BJP state spokesperson Amarpreet Singh Kale said the event would be grand.
“We are making arrangements to accommodate over 25,000 people at Sakchi Gurdwara grounds for the event that will start at 6 pm and continue till midnight. Much care is being taken for the safety of the audience, including women and children, who are likely to turn out in large numbers,” he told the media.

A huge waterproof pandal spread over 35,000 sqft is being constructed at the venue. Entry will be through special passes. Invitees include senior political leaders, corporate executives and social workers.
“We have requested East Singhbhum district administration to provide adequate security,” Kale said, adding that the idea behind the annual event, to enter its 24th year, was to promote peace, brotherhood and harmony, particularly as Antim Somvari is coinciding with Raksha Bandhan this year.
He said that next year the event will enter its 25th year and hence they would be celebrating the Silver Jubilee in a grand manner.
10-foot Shivling (Barfani Baba)
Another attraction this year will be a very 10-foot-high Shivling (Barfani Baba) made of ice specially mounted for the musical extravaganza.
Also, special illuminations will be set up on the stretch of Kalimati Road before Sakchi Gurdwara and free bhog will be distributed among the audience.

Sangh Ratna Seva Award
The Sangh Ratna Seva Award, instituted in 2011 to honour professional excellence and distinguished service, will be conferred on at least three persons this year.
Kale said the jury is in the process of selecting names which would be declared two days before the function.
In the past awards were presented to mountaineer Premlata Agarwal, archer Jhanu Hansda and pugilist Aruna Mishra, as women’s empowerment was the theme. Tribal girl Duli Hansda, who protested against child marriage in Dumaria block, East Singhbhum, was also felicitated.
According to Kale, they decided to invite Kanhaiya Mittal at the musical show keeping in view the demand of people, especially women.
According to him, local singer Krishna Murthy who has been participating in the musical soiree with his team on Antim Somvari ever since its inception, would also attend the show this year.
