Dhanbad, June 13: Six out of seven gang-rape accused, including the lover of the minor girl, were arrested and police have intensified raids to arrest the 7th accused to solve the crime completely.
The police officer, Manoj Pandey, said that two out of six arrested accused are minors while the remaining four are major. All the arrested accused were produced in the court today.
Six raped minor girl for two days
The victim girl (14) who was gang raped by her minor lover and his six friends continuously for two nights on June 9-10 is lodged in the Shelter Home after medical and being counselled by the Child Welfare Committee (CWC).
The victim girl reportedly lived in Jharia and on a call from her lover reached the Dhanbad railway station where her minor lover along with a friend took away her at Duhatand under the Dhanbad police station and raped her. Later, he handed over her to his other five friends.

Victim girl belongs to Bihar
CWC chairman Uttam Mukherjee said that she has been counselled to get details of her family members but she is not cooperating in it properly. “We are trying to get information on how she came to Dhanbad from Bihar,” he said.
The girl claims her parents have already died and her younger sister lives in Bihar. She lives with her uncle in Bihar but she refuses to share his name and residential address.
The girl also claims she is a class VIII pass and has an Aadhar Card.
A police official associated with the investigation of crime said that the statement of the girl had misled the probe. Now police are banking on the interrogation of her lover accused to get details of the girl, he added.
