Giridih, June 1: Social worker Kartik Das was murdered in Jamua block of Giridih district, reportedly over a land dispute.
Following the incident, the police have registered an FIR and begun investigations. The incident has sparked anger among local residents, prompting the police to appeal for calm.
According to available information, the dispute involved Kartik Das and his relative Deonandan Das. The two got into a scuffle over a piece of land, during which Deonandan allegedly attacked Kartik Das on the head with a spade, leading to his tragic death.
Family members rushed Kartik Das to the Primary Health Centre in Jamua, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. His family is devastated by the incident.
CPI (ML) district secretary Ashok Paswan visited the grieving family to offer his condolences and demanded strict action against those responsible for the murder.
