Jamshedpur, July 24: Tarapore School came alive with eloquence and expression as it hosted Elocution, Declamation, and DebTalks on Thursday. The event provided a platform for students from Classes V to XII to showcase their command over language, public speaking skills, and confidence.

The day began with the Elocution Competition for students of Classes V to VII, where participants did recitations of selected poems. In Class V, Tanmay Kaibarta of V C emerged as the winner, followed by Ritika Singh of the same section as first runner-up and Aaradhya Chandra of V A as second runner-up.

In Class VI, the top position was bagged by Harkirat Kour of VI C, while Shrishti Kumari of VI D and Anshika Raj of VI A stood second and third respectively. Among Class VII students, Falaque Shamim of VII A claimed the first position, Jasmine Kaur of the same class came second, and Shagun Kumari of VII C secured the third spot.

The Declamation Competition for Classes VIII to X featured speeches originally delivered by eminent personalities. In Class VIII, Lina Zoha of VIII B secured the first position, Sanvi Singh of VIII D came second, and Raunak Kumar Dwivedi of VIII B stood third.

In Class IX, Isha Jana of IX A was declared the winner, followed by Prakhar Srivastava and Srishti Samanta, both from IX A, as first and second runners-up respectively. Class X saw Snehil Ranjan of X A emerge victorious, with Karnika Prasad and Anushka Kundu, also of X A, taking second and third places.

The highlight of the event, DebTalks, saw students of Classes XI and XII engage in discussions on current issues. Adhrija Roy of XI D stood first in Class XI, while Tanisha Sharma of XI D and Ambika Khandelwal of XI A secured the next two positions. In Class XII, Kriti Naredi of XII A took the top honour, followed by V. Deepika of XII C and Sudiksha Kumari of XII A.
