Jamshedpur, April 16: For the first time, the Tata-Hatia MEMU train was flagged off from Adityapur Railway Station on Wednesday early morning.

Until now, this train operated only from Tatanagar to Hatia. This new move is expected to not only increase the significance of Adityapur station but also provide great convenience to passengers.

The Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway (SER) had been working towards operating major trains from Adityapur station.

As part of this effort, the Tata-Hatia MEMU train has now been initiated from Adityapur. This is being seen as an important step towards strengthening regional rail services.

As the train departed, locals gave a grand welcome to the train driver and guard by garlanding them. Those present at the station expressed happiness and called it a historic moment.

On this occasion, locals urged senior railway officials to start more train services from Adityapur. They emphasized that considering the station’s geographical importance and the growing number of passengers, regular train services should be increased.
