Jharkhand News: Tata Steel organises golf putting competition for senior citizens

Jamshedpur, Sept 24: Tata Steel Sports department organized a golf putting competition for senior citizens (55 years of age and above) as part of the Senior Citizen Fun and Fitness League at JRD Tata Stadium, Jamshedpur on September 20.

The event witnessed more than 25 enthusiast golfers across Jamshedpur from the senior citizen fraternity.

Dr. KP Dubey former Chief Medical Officer, Tata Main Hospital was the chief guest and Rakesh Kumar, Commandant of Central Reserve Police Force, was the guest of honour.

The championship was a part of the Senior Citizen Fun & Fitness League which already has completed Table Tennis, Badminton, Water Polo and Walkathon events.

The championship was organised under the leadership of Vibhuti Adesara, Head Sports Events & Training Centres, Tata Steel.

There were representatives from the sports department, including Hassan Imam, Firoz Khan, Vasudev Rao, K Nageswar Rao and Ajit Singh.

The competition was organised in four age groups: 55-60 years, 60-65 years, 65-70 years, 70  years and above.
