Jharkhand News:  Three die as Bolero hits bike in Dhanbad

Dhanbad, July 13: Three persons, including a mother and daughter, died on the spot and five people were injured as a Bolero hit a bike on national Highway-2 near Madaidih under Topchachi police station, around 35 km away from here on Saturday morning.

Topchachi police station officer-in-charge Sanjay Kumar said that the incident occurred at around 10 am. A woman and her daughter died on the spot while another woman succumbed to her injury on the way to the hospital.

Bike was standing on roadside

An eyewitness said the bike was standing on the side of the road when a speeding bolero hit from the rear.  The mother and daughter who were sitting on the bike died on the spot while her husband and son standing near the bike were injured badly.

The speeding Bolero also turned turtle after hitting the bike which all four riders injured. A woman rider succumbed to her injury on her way to hospital.

Victims were going to Katras

The bike rider family of four was going to Katras of Dhanbad from Saria of Giridih district. Police officials said the Bolero was bearing a Maharashtra registration number going towards Kolkata.

Topchachi Community Health Centre (CHC) medical officer in charge Dr Ashutosh Kumar Singh said that two died on the spot while one was brought dead. The injured persons were referred to a medical college hospital.
