Jamshedpur, May 2: Three persons were injured as four bike-borne criminals launched a gun-shot attack on an alleged local goon at Sidhu-Kanhu Maidan under Bagbera Thana area on Thursday morning.
The goon in question is said to be a member of gangster Akhilesh Singh’s gang and was injured in the firing. Two other injured including a middle-aged woman were passersby.
All three, including the alleged goon identified as Monu Singh, have been admitted to Tata Main Hospital.
The gun-shot attack took place at around 11 am when Monu Singh was looking after the construction work of his house located near the Sidhu-Kanhu Maidan.

Four criminals arrived there riding two motorcycles and opened indiscriminate firing targeting Monu Singh. Incidentally, two passersby came under the firing range.
The criminals had subsequently fled the scene abruptly.
The OC, Bagbera Thana said the police are yet to find out who the attackers were and the reason behind the gun-shot attack.
“Nothing could be known about the identity of the attackers and also about the motive behind the attack. We are trying to do our best to detect the case,” said the OC, Bagbera Thana while talking to The Jharkhand Story.
Gangster Akhilesh Singh is presently lodged in Dumka Central Jail.
