Jamshedpur, May 15: A local business owner Pappu Sardar celebrated Madhuri Dixit’s birthday with a voter awareness campaign at his shop- Manohar Chaat at Sakchi today.
The shop was decorated with attractive clay figurines, banners, and posters promoting voting awareness.
The celebration began with a prayer ceremony performed by Pandit Santosh Kumar Tripathi, followed by a Sarhul dance performance by tribal women carrying voter awareness posters.
A cake-cutting ceremony was held last night. Throughout the day on Tuesday, women and girls participated in a selfie competition with voting awareness posters.
The shop will continue to display voter awareness messages until the Lok Sabha elections in Jamshedpur happens on May 25.

Pappu Sardar celebrating Madhuri Dixit’s birthday for past 28 years
Continuing the celebration of Madhuri Dixit’s birthday, Pappu Sardar will distribute free snacks today evening.
The morning celebration today included the distribution of food and gifts to the inmates of Cheshire Home at Karandih on the outskirts of Jamshedpur.
A die-hard fan Pappu Sardar, who has been celebrating cine actor Madhuri Dixit’s birthday for the past 28 years, has gained international recognition for his devotion towards the celebrity actress.
This year’s celebrations were supported by numerous well-wishers, ensuring the event’s grand success.
Notably, Pappu Sardar also a philanthropist and a huge Madhuri Dixit fan is well known.
Pappu Sardar was subject of thesis on devotional fandom
His devotion had become a topic of international research some years ago.
Pappu Singh, alias Pappu Sardar, has been selected by Shalini Kakar, a student of the University of California in Santa Barbara, US, for her thesis on devotional fandom and iconic stature given to filmstars, sportspersons and politicians in India.
The thesis prompted Kakar to visit the steel city to meet Pappu Sardar way back in 2008.
