Daltonganj, February 3: A wildlife hurt a widow at village Vijaypur under the Garu east range of the Palamu Tiger Reserve.
The incident took place at 6 in the morning when a widow, Basmatiya Devi, 55, out of her house, was attacked.
She said a leopard had attacked her. She also said the leopard had aimed at her neck.

Umesh Dubey, ranger Garu East, said Hynae might have injured this woman. She has sustained injuries in her ear and leg.
Dubey said the PTR van took her to the Garu referral hospital, where she was treated. Her wounds were washed. She was given anti rabies shot.
Dubey said the PTR gave the victim woman 5,000 rupees.
The Ranger said, “We keep telling people not to let down their vigil and caution when out of the house. A wildlife may not be any far.”
