Dhanbad, Nov 17: Ashok Kumar Singh ‘Nayan’, general secretary of the Jharkhand State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation (JSNGEF) has been invited to attend the UNI Global Union conference scheduled to be held in Bangkok (Thailand) from November 18 to 23.

UNI Global Union is an international body of 20 million workers in service sectors in 51 countries. At the conference, leaders discuss how to improve workers working and living conditions. At the Bangkok conference, the Union will discuss gender equality and workplace safety.

Ashok Kumar Singh ‘Nayan’ is the first government employee body of Jharkhand who has been invited to address this prestigious international conference and shed light on workers’ issues and amenities.

He left today in the morning for Bangkok via Kolkata. Ashok Kumar Singh is representative of 1.50 lakh state government employees (JSNGEF) with which 51 associations of the state are affiliated.

“In the conference, I will share the problem of Jharkhand’s employees, employees working for honorarium, contractual staff and outsourcing employees,” said Ashok Kumar Singh ‘Nayan’.

Leaders of JSNGEF and different associations of employees body have congratulated Ashok Kumar Singh ‘Nayan’  for the invitation he got from the UNI Global Union and expressed hope that he would real picture of workers at the conference.
