Delegation of JSNGEF meets Chief Minister at his residence

Ranchi, Feb 23: A delegation of the Jharkhand State Non-Gazetted Employee’s Federation (JSNGEF) under general secretary Ashok Singh ‘Nayan’ met Chief Minister Champai Soren at his official residence in the morning and handed over 11 points long pending demand for implementation.
While briefing the chief minister about the long pending demands of employees, the JSNGEF delegation informed him that the Federation had submitted the demands to the government in 2023 during agitation. Still, no action has been initiated from the state government level for implementation.
“The chief minister listened to the federation’s demands seriously during the meeting and assured us that the state government will seriously discuss it (demands) and take steps soon in the interest of employees”, said Ashok Kumar Singh Nayan.
Besides the Federation’s general secretary, vice-president Debanti Devi, joint secretary Sushant Kumar Sahu, Rekha Mandal, office secretary I B Rani Khalko and Amit Mahto were other delegation members. JSNGEF is a frontal organisation of 1.73 lakh state government employees.

What are the demands of JSNGEF?
The main demands of the Jharkhand State Non-Gazetted Employee’s Federation are Rs 2400 Grade pay for 3rd-grade staff, promotion of 4th-grade staff on 3rd-grade post, formation of standard cadre rules for Sahiya, BTT, STT, Para medical employees of health department and same work same pay policy should be implemented for them.
Ashok Singh Nayan said that the Federation has also demanded a 15% hike in honorarium of NHM employees, coverage of Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) Ranchi employees under the Old Pension Scheme and declaration of Anganwadi Sevika and Sahayika as state government employees as per Supreme Court ruling.
Besides, the Federation has also demanded regularisation of the job of contractual Child Development Project employees and enhancing the retirement age of all state government employees to 65 years of age from 60 years.
The delegation has also demanded a ban on transferring Federation office bearers during his post-tenure in the state.
