Ramgarh, February 13: Police arrested three criminals from the Patratu police station area of the district who were planning a crime.

The police have succeeded in recovering weapons from them. Sub-divisional police officer Virendra Kumar Ram, while giving information in a press conference in Patratu of Ramgarh district, said that on February 12, Patratu police received secret information that 7-8 criminals had gathered with weapons on the banks of Murkati Dam under Basal OP area to carry out some major incident.

After the information, a team was formed by senior officers. The police team, taking immediate action, raided the said spot. From here, the police succeeded in arresting three criminals. Weapons have also been recovered from the arrested criminals.

SDPO of Patratu, Virendra Kumar, said that during the interrogation of the criminals, a criminal accepted his involvement in the murder of businessman Roshan Sao in the Basal OP area on 6-8-2023.

The arrested criminals are Riyansh Singh alias Swatantra alias RDX, father Manoj Singh Dhurwa Ranchi, Shivam Raj, father Ranjit Kumar Dhurwa Ranchi, and Aniket Kumar alias Monu, father Dharam Dev Sahu Dhurwa Ranchi.

Ram said that two country-made revolvers and a pistol had been recovered from the arrested criminals. One live cartridge has also been recovered from them.
