The thrashing continued until a police party reached the spot, but by then it was too late. The police rescued the two and rushed them to the medical college hospital where Aman succumbed to his injuries in the night.

Sidhgora Thana OC confirmed about death of Aman Munda, but refused to accept it as a case of mob lynching.

“4-5 persons had assaulted Aman and Sanjit whereas a large number of residents were just onlookers. It cannot be said a case of mob lynching, ” said the OC while talking to The Jharkhand Story.

The OC, however, claimed that three of the accused have already been arrested, and added that attempts are on to arrest the rest of the accused.
