Daltonganj, May 26: Chainpur police in Palamu arrested a notorious criminal identified as Raja Chandravanshi alias ‘Crack’, who had been evading arrest since 2022.

Chainpur police station officer-in-charge Lalji said the accused was wanted in seven criminal cases registered across three police stations — Chainpur, Paton and Town police stations.

According to police, Crack is accused of several crimes, including kidnapping, loot, violations under the Arms Act and the NDPS Act. A non-bailable warrant had also been issued against him.

Police said Crack had allegedly kidnapped a 13-year-old girl in 2025. While the girl was later recovered, the accused had gone into hiding.

“His arrest is expected to help police investigate and solve the pending cases against him,” the officer said.
